Ostara, Oestre blessings, How will you be celebrating the Spring Equinox

How will you be spending this Ostara?

*´¯`•.¸¸.☽◯☾ *´¯`•.¸¸

Myself and my daughters took this photograph on a lovely spring walk last Ostara, I love walking out in the countryside and seeing all the daffodils that have pushed their way through the soil at this time of year. I love in particular the clusters of these beautiful yellow flowers that can be found on the verges of our roads, they really brighten up an otherwise very dull and grey vista. Nature's beauty can be found even in the heart of our cities and you do not need to be living in the countryside to appreciate the wonders of our Mother Earth.

Take some time to spend in nature if you can. Go for a walk, read a book or meditate with the trees. You do not need to live in the countryside in order to do that. Thank the Goddess Mother Earth, Gaia for all the wonders she provides for us.

I hope that you and all that you hold dear have a wonderful Ostara, Oestre planned, may the Spring Equinox bring warmth and balance to your lives. Equinox blessings to you, Alison xxx

  1. We will celebrate by doing some planting. We are hoping the weather turns for the better soon, if not we might have to make some changes. Oh, and we're planning to visit a few ponds and search for frog eggs.

  2. It's a lovely picture! This year I decided that despite the fact that we will be moving in the middle or later part of the year, I wanted to get in touch with some local pagans in my area. So, we are going to the 2nd Annual Ostara Egg hunt and potluck. I'm a little nervous because I've only met two individuals from the group at one of their tarot classes. They were very nice so I am hoping everyone else will be just as nice. :)
I really hope that you and your family have a wonderful Ostara!!!

    1. Well, we went and I met some very nice people. As it turns out one of the members is from the state I grew up in, which I thought was pretty neat. The group is working to celebrate in the fashion of the many different paths so today's ritual was a Heathen one. Tomorrow night they are holding a "one day late" full moon ritual for the full moon and it will be in a Druid style. I think I am very fortunate to have found this particular group, with so many different paths being represented I feel as though I am standing on the doorstep of a great deal of knowledge which will help me grow and find what works best for me. xxx
