Read something positive every night. Tom Hopkins Inspirational quote and practising gratitude

“Read something positive every night and listen to something helpful every morning.” - Tom Hopkins

This isn't always the easiest thing to do when we are bombarded by news stories telling us of all the day to day horrors that continue in our world. However we can decide tune into the positive sides of the stories that we hear and not focus on the negative as is often all too easy to do.  For me I like to go to bed with a good book, I can escape into the fantasy world of the book and have that fantasy world in my head as I fall asleep. I also practice gratitude before I go to sleep, so if I haven't been able to read something positive I can think about my day and the positives there have been during the day. It is always possible to find three things to feel gratitude for in your day, even when you feel like it has been a day best forgotten and on to the next one!

Listening to something helpful every morning, again not  hugely easy to do but it might be that you put some of your favourite inspirational music on whilst you are making breakfast, or driving to work, or take a few minutes to play a meditation CD and calm your mind for a while. Listening to a positive energy in the morning will then keep you going through any problems that you then encounter during your day. If you experience a difficult day, try to take yourself back to the moment when you were 'in the zone' listening to something that made you feel positive. However bad your day then gets you can still remain grateful for those few minutes that you had. Practising gratitude on a daily basis will really make you change your outlook on life and give you a more positive feeling towards your days.

There are many mediation CDs, or spiritual music around if you want to try that as your helpful start to the day.

I found this was a lovely one:

Music for Healing by Medwyn Goodall
Medwyn has used the very latest in state of the art synthesizers, pulsing waves and sonic healing methods to create washes of sound that depict the power and characteristics of 6 crystals.
Crystals transmit and receive energies to protect, heal and create love and can bring serenity to the home and peace of mind and well-being to the individual.
Further details of this and other wonderful CDs and books can be found here:
Enjoy finding new and positive ways to enjoy your day and always remember to find the little things in life to practise gratitude for!
Blessings to you, Alison
