Would that this were true but not everyone extends loving kindness to all creatures on this earth. I am hopeful that we are moving in the right direction and are getting there though. I spent ages to get this photo of the bee on the sunflower. Thank the Goddess for digital photography, I would have spent a fortune in film! 

Loving kindness extends to all creatures, down to the smallest ones such as bees. "As well as making honey, honey bees pollinate countless hectares of agricultural crops. It’s estimated that a third of the food you eat could be attributed to pollination by bees. The productivity of modern agriculture would be drastically reduced without the humble honey bee" On April 29, 2013, the European Union passed a two-year ban on neonicotinoid insecticides, which are suspected to be the primary cause of bee colony collapse disorder, so it does seem that our world is moving in the right direction and taking steps to protect all creatures on our wonderful planet.
