How does the full moon make you feel? Trying to channel that energy.

How does the full moon make you feel? For a lot of us the full moon may make you us feel a little off balance, a little overwhelmed by the full moon energy. If you are a sufferer of a chronic illness the extra energy and fluctuations may make that illness flare up. There are physical as well as psychological reasons as to why that may happen. the moon’s gravitational pull on our bodies may affect hormone production and fluid flow within our bodies. I am a migraine sufferer and always find that I am worse at the time of the full moon. It is well documented that plants absorb and retain more moisture at the time of the full moon and the same thing happens within the cells of our bodies. This has a particular impact when it is our brain cells that are trying to expand within a fixed expanse and may lead to the feeling of restlessness that many of us feel and possibly headaches and migraines in those prone to them.

I would be very interested to hear from any of you that have found this to be true. So if you know in advance how you are likely to feel you can try and plan for it. I usually try and have something slightly active but not too taxing to achieve, this obviously depends on how bad the migraine is. I get these a lot so I'm used to dealing with them on a day to day basis. I usually try and make some moon water that I will use during the rest of the month for cleansing my crystals and in any other situation where I believe my moon water would be beneficial( see my previous post on how to make moon water) I will alway try and spend some time meditating under the moon if I can and perhaps take a walk down to the local park with my camera if I am feeling up to it. My crystals benefit from being cleansed under the moonlight so if I can I take them out to leave under the moonlight.

So there you have it, some relatively easy things to do when the moon is full and you don't feel you can concentrate on very much but would like to feel you have achieved something by the next day. Would love to hear how you cope with our beautiful moon's fluctuating energy. Full moon blessings to you, Alison

  2. I'm relatively new to this so the only knowledge I had about the moon affecting the earth was the gravitational pull in relation to the tides. I've been reading you posts on the moon the last couple of days and it certainly makes sense and explains a lot. I too suffer from migraines but I also suffer from fibromyalgia and a herniated disk in my lower back and oh boy have all three been flaring up something awful lately! I've not been able to sleep very well or settle down. I've focused small bits of house work for as long as I can stand it, then I take small breaks to play light games. I've also tinkered with my blog. Tonight I hope to get down to the park to take some picture of the Super Moon, provided it isn't storming.

    1. Hi Hannah, poor you, I think my migraines are awful enough but you're dealing with all that as well that is really tough. How are you feeling now? I'm still struggling but hopefully better soon! Did you get any good pics? I do really find that flowing with the moon phases really helps me. I will spend the next few weeks of the waning moon a bit more slowly, more mediation and clearing out of things, my computer, kitchen cupboards that kind of thing depending on how I feel! blessings to you xx

    2. Hello, how are you feeling today?
Sadly I wasn't able to get any pictures. I am very tired but that is because we rearranged our bedroom last night. Well, my girlfriend did the heavy lifting. We have a bit left to organize but I will finish that up over the next couple days. I hope you feel better and can get your projects finished! Hugs and blessings to you too!
