I apologise for the tardiness of this post but here are the moon phases for February for you.
In February this year the full moon falls on the 14th: Valentines Day. This makes it an extra special day, perfect for cementing bonds with a current partner or for making a plan to find a new one! You may like to read my post on the origins of Valentine's Day and its Pagan origins.
Coupled with the messages of love that are all around at this time of year you may feel quite emotional on the Valentine full moon. If this is a difficult time of year for you try and do something practical to keep your mind busy. Going for a long walk, hitting the gym or catching up with old friends are all great ways to spend your day.
February then sees a waning moon for the rest of the month. This is a perfect time for letting go of anything you no longer need in order to make way for something or someone new. The new moon then falls on March 1st 2014, a wonderful time to plan for a new project or two.
The full moon of February is most commonly called the snow moon, falling as it does at a time when our earth sees a large snowfall in the Northern Hemisphere. Other common names include storm moon and hunger moon.
Enjoy the magical Valentine's snow moon this February, may it bring you all that your heart desires.
Snow moon blessings, Alison
